What we do
This service is for people who have little or no speech; they are assessed by a Speech and Language therapist. When it is established that a communication aid is needed it will be provided by the Communication Aid Service.
The service includes assessing for a communication aid, learning to use it (with on-going support, if required) and the option to join the Users Support Group, who meet fortnightly at the Lifehouse. As you can imagine this opens up a whole new world for some people who have previously struggled with their communication.
How to get our help
All our equipment has to be requested by a Speech Therapist. Service users cannot request direct to us.
